COLUMBIA — The Fr. Tolton Regional Catholic boys basketball team defeated Jamestown 53-40 at home Monday night to improve to 2-2 on the season.
“We made some runs and Jamestown made some runs,” coach Tyler Clark said. “We had some turnover issues at times, and we struggled with their height at times.”
Sophomore forward Josh Boyer led the Trailblazers with 20 points and 11 rebounds. The double-double was his fourth in Tolton’s first four games. Sophomore guard Ryan Chappell also contributed 15 points.
This was the Trailblazers’ first game without injured starter Cameron Bagley, who suffered an injury in a pickup game on Saturday. Clark said he should return in “a week or so.”
Tolton plays again Tuesday at Centralia High School.
