COLUMBIA — The Hickman boys basketball team advanced to the championship game of the People’s Bank Basketball Invitational on Wednesday at Francis Howell High School. Hickman defeated Fort Zumwalt South High School, 58-37.

Jimmy Whitt led the Kewpies with 20 points, and Chris Clark added 14 in the semifinal game. Cecil Williams also contributed 8 points.

Hickman, the top seed in the eight-team tournament, will face third seed Westminster at 7 p.m. on Friday at Troy Buchanan High School. Westminster defeated the Elsberry Indians, the seventh seed, by a score of 67-49 on Wednesday.
